A shit movie review with Gabi: Margin Call

What a flippin’ amazing cast. Can we please stop and appreciate this now? Yes being the answer, we got Jeremy Irons (wow), Kevin Spacey (still have a girl crush on him), Stanley Tucci (who doesn’t love him?), Paul Bettany (great in any movie), Demi Moore (she’s lovely), Zachary Quinto (those eyebrows are magical, they contain his ability to act), Penn Badgley (great young actor, thank you gossip girl) and Simon Baker (I love powerful Aussies, he is one).

Generally an excellently polished film, great directing by J.C Chandor. And of course the greatest element of the film was all the strong performances. The film is about what is going on in the initial downfall of the American financial crisis and one particular investment bank’s story. If that subject is up your ally then this film is one to watch.

3.9/5 Stars

Stand out performance: Ah Jesus, so hard to pick… maybe Jeremy Irons tying with Kevin Spacey. Both very powerful performances.

Shit movie review with Gabi: Hunger Games

Very cool story line, and a generally enjoyable movie. I should have read the book first but I’m lazy. I didn’t enjoy the direction though, camera work was very shaky.

3.7/5 Stars

Stand out performance: Jennifer Lawrence was great but I loved Stanley Tucci’s little bit :D
